Timekeepers of the Brain

A mock journal cover for a publication titled 'Human hippocampal neurons track moments in a sequence of events.' (Reddy et al., 2021). The paper highlights the discovery of 'time neurons' in the hippocampus responsible for tracking the

progression of time. I chose to communicate the role of these neurons in our perception of time through the visual metaphor of an hourglass.
